Thread
Your work is personal

Privacy, in plain words.

Effective September 20, 2026 · Thread is operated by Daniel Pedraza.

This policy explains how Thread handles your information when you use the app and this website.

Your content and account

Thread saves workspaces, notes, tasks, drawings, imported files and meeting recordings on your device. With cloud sync enabled, your library content and account identifier are uploaded to your private Thread account, hosted by Supabase. Your email address is used for account access; Resend delivers sign-in emails.

Device permissions

Microphone and speech access support recording and on-device transcription. Supported meeting summaries, image text recognition and import organization run on your device. Availability depends on your device, operating system and language. Calendar access lets you choose events to import. Thread reads files or folders you select.

Connections and sharing

External-service connections are optional and depend on availability. When enabled, connected-service credentials are encrypted on the server and used for the connection you request. Those services have their own privacy policies. Exporting or sharing content sends it to your chosen destination.

Service providers and website visits

Supabase provides account, database and file hosting. Resend delivers account emails. This website is hosted through OpenAI Sites. Hosting and delivery providers process technical request information, which may include IP addresses, to deliver and secure their services. This website does not use advertising or analytics scripts. Thread includes no advertising or tracking SDKs and does not sell your content.

Retention and deletion

Local content remains until you remove it. Trashed content remains recoverable in your library. You can export a backup from Library & sync. To permanently delete your cloud account and associated content, open Account & cloud → Delete account and complete email verification. The synced library on the requesting device is erased after confirmation. Copies on other devices and exported backups remain until you remove them. Infrastructure providers may retain security logs or backup copies under their retention policies.

Your choices

You can use Thread locally without signing in, manage device permissions in system settings, export your library, and delete your cloud account. Contact us for access, correction or deletion questions. We may need to verify your identity before acting on an account request.
